Serving the community for more than 90 years.

Come worship in a service with a spiritual, welcoming, peaceful and comforting atmosphere.
To all who are lonely and need a friend,
To all who are weak and need strength,
To all who are adrift and need a purpose,
To all who are sad and need happiness,
To all who have richly received and need to give thanks,
This church opens wide its doors and bids you welcome.
Our vision:
We envision a growing faith community that provides, with God's help, opportunities for spiritual growth and understanding in our ministries of worship, outreach, education, service and fellowship.
Our mission:
To know and love God, to nurture each other, and to reach out and welcome all people in the name of Jesus Christ.
The First Christian Church of Greensboro is a congregation within the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the United States and Canada. Our national offices are primarily located in Indianapolis, Indiana; however, our church's mission reaches around the world. For more on the Disciples of Christ, visit our denominational webpage at disciples.org.
Concerning Stewardship
"IMAGINE" Campaign Underway
Since the beginning of October, the Stewardship Committee has asked the congregation to IMAGINE all we can accomplish together if we individually take a forward step in giving. On Sunday October 19th, financial pledge cards or "Faith Cards" were distributed at both services to all members. Those members not in attendance will receive their Faith Cards in the mail.
We appreciate the participation of those who have already returned their completed cards to indicate their level of financial commitment in the coming year. If you have not yet returned your pledge to the church, we ask that you do so as soon as possible. If you would like to pledge but have not received a Faith card, please contact the church office or Allen Wagoner, Stewardship Chairman.
A separate mailing of "Time and Talent" Forms took place earlier this month. This form is used to indicate activities, projects and areas of interest in which you are willing to volunteer your time and efforts. We ask that these completed forms also be turned in to the church at your earliest opportunity. Additional forms are available in the church narthex if needed.
All contributions are important, not only in support of our church and its mission, but also as a spiritual discipline. Let's all strive to be good stewards of the many blessings we have received.
Thank you for your participation in this effort to move our congregation forward.
