  • Rev. Dr. George Fuller, Jr, Interim Minister

    Rev. Dr. George Fuller, Jr. is a Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) minister, with standing in our Region. He has served churches in North Carolina and Arkansas since 1977. He retired from the pastoral ministry after serving Wendell Christian Church in May of 2024.

     His experience as a caregiver for his parents and in-laws motivated and informed his passion for life planning. He completed his book, “Life Compass Living: A Guide for Growing Up and Growing Old Together” in 2021. Now he helps equip compassionate, resilient families, congregations, and communities. George is a certified Family and Financial Mediator and Certified Senior Advisor. He also has a doctorate focused on small group processes.

     He lives with his wife, Tammy, a retired elementary school teacher in Pittsboro, NC with their dog, Baxter. They have two sons, who are ministers as well, and six grandchildren who get much of their attention as of late. George loves playing guitar, singing, hunting, fishing, reading, and time on the porch with family and friends. 

  • Jada Poteat, Music Director

    Jada Poteat is a Greensboro native. She grew up in church and has served as a church musician throughout her music career.

    Jada received her Master of Music in Choral Conducting from UNC-Greensboro in 2024 and her Bachelor of Music in Music Education from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2022. She served as the interim music director at Pilgrim United Church of Christ in Durham, NC. Previously, she worked as the interim music director at Starmount Presbyterian Church here in Greensboro.

    Jada joined First Christian Church as Music Director in August 2024. She is so happy to be a part of the church community, build connections with the church body…and recruit everyone into choir, of course.

  • Anita Trumpler-Rich, Piano & Organ Accompanist

    A church musician and a piano teacher of many years, Anita Trumpler-Rich is immersed in music. She gained a Bachelor of Music degree in organ performance from Oberlin College, Oberlin, Ohio, and a Master of Music degree in piano performance from UNC Greensboro.

     Anita teaches piano at her own studio, as well as two days a week at St. Pius X’s afterschool program, both in Greensboro, North Carolina. For the past ten  years, she served as organist, pianist, and music director for Centenary United Methodist Church in Greensboro. She was also the accompanist at First Christian Church Greensboro’s early service from 2008 to 2012, when there were two Worship services.

     As a long-time member of the Greensboro Music Teachers Association (affiliated with Music Teachers National Association and North Carolina Music Teachers Association), Anita has served the association in several positions: as a past president, and now as Treasurer. She also acts as Foundation Vice President of the Euterpe Music Club of Greensboro.

     Anita is married to architect Charles Rich. Her hobbies are walking, playing with her two kitties, reading books with two local book clubs, and playing online Scrabble.

     Anita returned to First Christian Church of Greensboro in February 2025. She is delighted to be the piano and organ accompanist again!

  • Annette Bartlett-Golden, Office & Communications Manager

    Annette has a background in visual arts and education. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a B.F.A. in art/art education, concentrating in oil painting. Since then, she worked as an artist and teacher.

    In the spring of 2023, Annette joined First Christian Church Greensboro as the Office and Communications Manager. Art, gardening, writing, and reading are her passions. When you come into her office, you’ll find it filled with plants. (You may even leave with an extra one.) She also enjoys traveling, especially to see gardens.

    Pam Reese, Bookkeeper

    Originally from Greensboro, Pam studied at Rockingham Community College where she received an Associate in Applied Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on accounting and later earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Guilford College.

    For most of her career, Pam worked for Dairy Farmers of America, Inc., and its predecessor cooperatives. She retired as Director of Accounting and Analysis in 2012 after twenty-four years in the dairy industry. She and her husband, Jim, lived in Knoxville, Tennessee for seventeen of those years. They moved back to Greensboro in 2012 to live close to Pam’s family again.

    Pam is a member of First Friends Meeting where she has served as Treasurer since 2013. She also serves on several committees at First Friends and volunteers with several organizations in the community. Pam began working at First Christian Church in February 2016.

    She enjoys reading, cooking, attending sporting events, volunteering and spending time with family and friends.
